Dietfurter Dolomite ® | Wachenzeller Dolomite is quarried in the stone quarries of Dietfurt and Wachenzell. Thanks to its beige-brown-gray coloration, which has a Mediterranean feel, and its open structure, the stone is selected worldwide by renowned architects in both processed and natural forms. The dolomite is predominantly used in garden and landscape construction as well as in road and water construction. Additionally, Wachenzeller Dolomite and Dietfurter Dolomite® are often found as facade material or flooring in both interior and exterior areas. This versatility, combined with excellent technical properties, makes this natural stone a proven building material. Dolomite, like Jura limestone, is a sedimentary rock formed by the transformation of calcareous rocks. During dolomitization, calcium ions were replaced by magnesium ions. The natural stone is durable and frost resistant.
